The first stage of the selection process will take place in the week commencing 14 April 2025. Second stage interviews will take place in the week commencing 28 April 2025. The expected start date for the apprenticeship course is September 2025.
The Role
We have a very exciting opportunity for Apprentices to join us on a Level 3 Aircraft Maintenance apprenticeship. This role is based at Norwich Airport and is Monday – Friday.
Our apprentices will join the KLM UK Engineering team in supporting customers from around the globe. Initial learning takes place in the International Aviation Academy Norwich – a world-class training centre and the first of its kind – which hosts a live Boeing 737 aircraft.
You will learn the required practical and theoretical skills to become a qualified aircraft maintenance professional and gain a recognised level 3 qualification.
Selection Criteria
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for aviation and engineering; are aged 16 or over with 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English, and have valid right to live and work in the UK without sponsorship. You will also:
* Be open to developmental feedback with an appetite to continuously improve your performance
* Be open, honest and trustworthy with a ‘can do’ attitude
* Be reliable, flexible and hard working
* Be an effective communicator within a team.
Any experience with mechanical or electrical equipment or a demonstrable interest in engineering would be advantageous. Combined or Triple Science GCSEs at grade 5 or above (or equivalent) are desirable.
