Job Description Team Manager Permanent Opportunity Starting ASAP South West £49.5k-£51.5k depending on experience Up to £8k relocation allowance £5k welcome payment Retention payment of £2k per year upon passing probation You must be a Qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England Hybrid working, minimum 2 days per week on site £1k paid twice per year upon passing probation CV's are being reviewed immediately and interviews will be taking place week commencing 20 th May. Reporting into the Service Manager and responsible for a team of 5 Social Workers and 1 Advanced Practitioner. You will monitor and review the work of the team including regular audits, in accordance with performance/quality standards/Council procedures. You will have demonstrable experience within a local authority setting and will be currently operating at Team Manager level. Your Role as Team Manager of Children’s Social Care: To be accountable for the management of 5 Social Workers and 1 Advanced Practitioner Case load of approximately 90 children Allocate cases/referrals. To monitor and review the work of the team including regular audits, in accordance with performance/quality standards/Council procedures To be responsible of the management of delegated budgets and to ensure that resources are used in the most cost efficient and effective way To induct new staff in accordance with the Borough policies and, procedure and standards Lead and take accountability for the legal process on behalf of the Council, attending Court as necessary To identify staff development and training needs to ensure that the workforce is competent to undertake the tasks identified Your previous experience as a Team Manager in Children’s Social Care: Professional Social Work Qualification Proven post qualifying in child care field work, and family placement services Experience working at a Team Manager level within a local authority setting Experience of supervising staff Excellent communicator and be able to have conversations with a variety of people Experience of chairing meetings If you’re interested in discussing this opportunity in more detail or know someone who this may be of interest to, please contact Sarah Macrae on 0117 3137110 or apply today.
