Job Details Job details – Taser Instructor - HC619580 Location – Netley Salary - Scale 6/SO1- £32,247.00 - £37,692.00 Hours – 37 per week Contract – Permanent Closing date – Sunday 5th January 2025 at 23.59 hours About the role Your role will be to develop and deliver Knowledge & Skills Training, on Conductive Energy Device training (Taser), working to the CTI to ensure that the Force delivers training in line with standards and requirements set by the College of Policing. Responsibilities will be and not limited to: 1. To deliver Taser training as designed and written by the College of Policing to operational Police Officers, ensuring the learning objectives are achieved and ensuring accurate records are kept of students and training needs. 2. To assist with the design and delivery of initial and refresher courses to meet identified needs within the workforce. 3. To offer appropriate training to students, in order to facilitate learning and understanding, and ensure competent users of Taser that are accredited to a National Standard. 4. To liaise and consult with other colleagues within the Public Order Department, wider operational units/departments and other forces, and report to the Chief Taser Instructor and Deputy Chief Taser Instructor. 5. To undertake continuous assessment/validation/evaluation of the training delivery, ensuring that it is appropriate to the needs of individuals, the organisation and is of a consistently high standard. 6. To maintain a CPD portfolio relevant to your role, and undertake personal performance assessments annually, as set by the College of Policing.
