Your new role:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and receivable, as well as treasury functions.
Your main duties will include:
1. Manage Accounts Payable:
o Receive, match, and post invoices/credit notes
o Reconcile and agree statements, request missing documents
o Handle enquiries and disputes
o Collate payments for due dates
o Manage trade accounts (e.g., hotel chains and mobile phones)
2. Manage Accounts Receivable:
o Issue customer invoices/credit notes
o Issue statements regularly
o Handle enquiries and disputes
o Manage receipt of documentation for non-UK transactions
o Present sales data to the Senior Management Team (SMT)
o Manage credit control with third-party finance providers
3. Treasury:
o Record receipts and payments in multi-currency bank accounts
o Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts
o Record and reconcile card accounts
What you'll need to succeed:
* AAT Level 2/3 or QBE
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Advanced MS Excel skills, including Look-Up and Pivot Tables
* Experience with export transactions and documentation
* Familiarity with a paperless finance office environment
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
