Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with an exceptional SEN Specialist school in Croydon who are currently seeking dedicated and passionate SEN Support Assistant's to join their team.
Our client school is a specialist school for children with complex medical needs, physical disabilities and learning disabilities who are aged from 2 to 19 years. They boast a happy and inclusive learning environment for all pupils, that thrives on positivity and success, embracing creativity and recognising the unique effort and contributions of all staff and pupils.
The role of the SEN Support Assistant will include supporting pupils personalised learning programmes in the classroom and other areas within the school, as well as providing personal care support.
Although previous school based experienced is not required for this role, the school are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic and willing to learn, with a passion for supporting young people with SEN.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN, preferably those with medical or physical disabilities.
- Relevant qualifications in SEN support is highly advantageous.
- Prior experience supporting SEN within a school environment is desired, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
