Job Title: Caretaker
Employment Type: Permanent, 25 hours per week – Term time plus 3 weeks
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.00 – 9.00am and 3.00 – 6.00pm
Salary: Scale 3, Point 5 - £12.85 per hour
The Governors and staff of this highly successful school are seeking to appoint an experienced, effective and motivated Caretaker. The successful candidate will support our school in providing a safe, effective, and efficient learning environment.
Responsibilities:
1. General caretaking duties including opening and closing the premises.
2. Liaising with contractors.
3. Basic maintenance and repairs.
4. Waste management.
5. Emergency call outs.
6. Health and safety checks.
7. Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and security is maintained.
8. Supporting and safeguarding the welfare of all staff, children, and visitors using the school premises.
9. Undertaking training appropriate to the post.
The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be able to deal with a variety of situations. They will take pride in how the school looks and functions.
