On behalf of Deutsche Bank, AMS is now looking for a Branch Operations Analyst (Vault Assistant) to work in their London team based in the bank's City offices 5 Days per week on a 3-month contract on a PAYE basis.
You will be joining the London based Trust & Agency Services (TAS) Operations Vault team, which is responsible for the provision of depository services to our TAS Issuer Services business area within Corporate Bank. The team provides various security processing duties that must be handled within a vault environment based in London and ensures the physical creation and deposit of all issuances related to the TAS business in London linked to both the international and domestic clearing system markets. The team retains many working partnerships either internally with other operational areas in London, Pune, and Bangalore and with our varying lines of business that govern Corporate Trust.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, scan and upload signature lists and documentation into our document repositories, Signet & DOCSMART ensuring accurate retention of data.
* Creation and effectuation of all MTN / ECP issued daily upon instruction from the DB India New Issuance desks.
* Ensure safe receipt of Eurobonds from the SME London group and release to the ICSD's as necessary.
* Processing of all VSS Deposits and Withdrawals, initially loaded by the New Issuance / London SME teams and Common Depository.
* Destruction of all issuances upon redemption and ensure correct four-eye processes are adhered to.
* Create and file all CD New Issuances within the correct ICSD locations held in the Vault.
* Receive and process all CD Realignment instructions on a daily basis and ensure that all CD's are filed correctly.
* Retrieve all CD Maturities that mature each day and file accordingly until the relevant destruction period has been reached.
* Provide safekeeping and storage of registered UK equity held outside of CREST on behalf of the above areas.
* As instructed, receive and deposit physical certificates of UK registered equity into CREST by delivery to the CREST Counter or deposit with the respective registrar updating CREST as required.
* For IPO transactions deliver the physical share certificate to the Registrar for onward delivery to the Lead Manager.
* Process equity buy-backs, ensuring that the purchase proceeds are tracked into the Bank, and that the purchased equity is cancelled.
* Provide safekeeping and storage for non-UK registered equities in the London vault and under instruction receive, return or destroy these certificates.
* Support the residual processing activity in Crest through delivery and receipt of physical certificates, and instruct payments to the ESO payment team to support this process where required.
Skills and Qualifications
* Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
* A proven self-starter with excellent attention to detail.
* The ability to learn new concepts quickly and the confidence to work through unfamiliar processes.
* Good time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple streams of work in a group and individual environment.
* The ability to react positively to change and re-prioritise where needed.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
* A sufficient awareness of operational risk & control.
