Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
1. In conjunction with clinical leads and other members of the multi-disciplinary team as appropriate, ensure training plans are regularly updated, and changes implemented. Ensure that staff training records and documentation is maintained in accordance with local and national guidelines.
2. Implement and ensure best practice is embedded within training and care delivery. Actively encourage the use of clinical information to improve the quality of patient care, requires skills for assessing and interpreting patients complex needs.
3. Ensure confidentiality is maintained in all aspects and levels of communication especially pertaining to patients, carers, and staff.
4. Facilitate communication, which results in clear responsibilities being identified within the multi-professional team.
5. Ensure the delivery of care is in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices of University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust and ensure all staff are up to date with such procedures. Reviewing and commenting on policy and support implementation of relevant policy.
6. Assessment, planning, and delivery of equipment competency based training.
7. Manage own workload, prioritise following policies and competing service demands. Propose changes to own working practices and the quality system to promote efficiency.
8. Facilitate training sessions periodically for staff in their area of speciality knowledge.
9. Accountable for own actions in accordance with Code of Professional Conduct.
