This role has a starting salary of £40,929 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week. (This is a full-time position, part-time applications will be considered). About the Team Surrey Heath Locality Team is a part of a pioneering Integrated System and, as a result, it is an exciting place to work where we foster close working relationships with our partners including Health and Hospital colleagues, as well as partners from the voluntary sector. About the Role As a Social Worker in Surrey, you will work across various unique projects that ensure that the people we support can enjoy a home of their own, an environment in which they are supported to live a healthy & meaningful lifestyle.You will be undertaking safeguarding enquiries, carrying out assessments within the community and working with a diverse group of individuals and partner agencies.You will be able to supervise less experienced members of staff within the team and support their development. Shortlisting Criteria To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:
11. Professional qualification in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England
12. Successful completion of an Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme if qualified as a social worker after June 2012
13. An understanding and experience of working in a strengths-based approach.
14. Knowledge of current legislation such as the Care Act and The Mental Capacity Act.
15. Experience in assessment, preparation of support plans and reviewing outcomes.
16. Assessment and management of risk.
17. Experience of undertaking safeguarding enquiries and examples of you using your professional judgement in complex situations.
18. Commitment to your own professional development.
Surrey has both urban and rural areas and locality based social care workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area.
