Job summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly and supportive Adult Speech and Language Therapy team. This post is based at Harrogate District Hospital within the small but specialist Community Neurology team. Supported by a team of Band 7, Band 6's, SLT Assistants and the wider MDT, the post holder will have the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills working within a community neurology caseload. You will gain exposure and access to our weekly instrumental assessment services, including Videofluoroscopy and FEES. The role will involve outpatient appointments, domiciliary and nursing home visits. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide a comprehensive clinical service for community neurology patients with speech, language, communication and swallowing needs within the Harrogate and District area. The successful candidate will have knowledge, skills and experience of working with both dysphagia and communication patients as a result of both progressive and non-progressive neurological disorders.
