Crest Nicholson's Partnerships and Strategic Land division has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Strategic Land & Planning Manager to join their team. We can be flexible on location for the right candidate although there would be an expectation to travel to our Addlestone office, potentially once a week.
As a Strategic Land & Planning Manager you will identify, secure, promote and deliver planning consent on land with medium to longer term potential for residential development within the Partnership & Strategic Land Division in accordance with the Company’s operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To directly assist the Strategic Land Director in achieving the Company’s business objectives.
2. To manage the integration of strategic land assets.
3. To build and develop ongoing strong relationships at all levels with key individuals and groups of interested parties in the land acquisition and planning process e.g. Council Chief Executives, Directors of Planning & Regeneration, Local Communities, Ward Members, Local Objectors etc.
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
1. 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
2. In-depth knowledge and clear understanding of the continually evolving planning system and its emphasis on localism and sustainability.
3. Self-sourcing and acquisition of new opportunities.
4. Strong knowledge of the land market.
5. A track record of delivering time-critical projects within programme and budget.
6. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
7. Negotiation skills.
8. Attention to detail.
9. Self-motivator.
10. Business acumen.
11. Tenacity / perseverance.
