The purpose of the programme or project specialist is to provide specialist hands-on support for programme and project managers. They play a proactive role in knowledge management to promote programme and project management methods and standards, and the implementation of best programme and project management practice.

Job Description:
The role is fundamental to programmes of work, so we are looking for a confident and experienced Project Planner that can inform, update and really drive collaboration across the projects/programmes you will be involved in.
What you will be doing?
1. Develop full-scale project plans and templates
2. Plan and schedule project timelines
3. Support the Strategy, Delivery and Launch interactions to maintain on-time programme delivery
4. Report to senior management actual performance and variance against the baseline plans and forecast outcomes
5. Follow the change control process to identify risks or opportunities, update assumptions and dependencies logs, and ensure compliance against our internal procedures
6. Report to the programme manager and support project managers with planning activities
What we are looking for?
1. Extensive experience in project planning such as the successful scheduling of project and programme plans
2. Strong working knowledge of planning software such as Microsoft Project (MSP)
3. Great communication skills alongside great project management skills
4. Extensive experience as a Project Planner and Scheduler for large scale and complex projects and programmes
5. Experience of using all industry-standard planning software
6. Excellent communicator
7. Excellent rapport-building skills
