As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading and managing the electrical team. You will oversee all aspects of the work, including planning and scheduling, and ensure compliance with company and client standards. Your responsibilities will also include:
1. Assisting with scoping work activities and engaging with the client's representatives
2. Engaging in internal audit programs to support the contract
3. Demonstrating flexibility in handling challenging time lines and adapting to changing priorities
4. Identifying opportunities for improvement
5. Providing construction input during design and planning phases
6. Effective communication with team members
7. Contributing to project cost estimates and execution programs
8. Conducting ongoing evaluations of personnel
9. Monitoring and ensuring adherence to electrical and instrument activities
10. Providing solutions for construction problems
11. Writing, reviewing, and verifying paperwork (RAMS, Material Requisitions, Testing and Inspection records)
12. Ensuring safe, timely, and efficient delivery of scopes of work
13. Monitoring and reporting site progress and labour allocation
14. Continuously improving working practices
15. Conducting daily inspections of HSEQ requirements
16. Supporting the electrical department in training and development
17. Enforcing safety regulations and proper codes and standards
Competencies:
Preferred:
18. CCNSG Safety Passport
19. IOSH Managing Safety Cert.
20. CITB - SSSTS or similar
21. Experience of site E&I activities in Oil & Gas, PetroChem, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry
22. Time served Electrical Apprenticeship
Essential:
23. NVQ educated in relevant Electrical Engineering or similar
24. City and Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Electrical Testing and Inspection
25. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
26. COMPEX 1-4 & 5-6 (preferred)
27. Familiarity with relevant legislative requirements and compliance to Client Engineering standards
