As Senior Environmental Advisor you will be required to - Provide subject matter expertise in identify environmental risk and mitigation, promoting best practice solutions. Technical support in measuring project carbon and identification of carbon reduction opportunities and best practice. Work well within a high performing team and be able to communicate at all levels of the business. Manage the process of obtaining any necessary environmental consents, licences or exemptions. Manage / mentor new environmental advisors or graduates. Work well under pressure and manage both internal and client deadlines. A thorough knowledge of compliance with environmental legislation and of ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems and its implementation.
We are looking for Senior Environmental Advisors who have a wealth of knowledge in managing environmental risk throughout lifecycle of projects to provide technical support to project teams. Experience or knowledge of energy transmission, renewable/green energy infrastructure, flood defence, water and waste water works, ports and general complex civils including tunnelling from £10M upwards to major project values would be an advantage., Already experienced as a Senior Environmental Advisor you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in the relevant field. You will have experience of provide technical support and advice to project teams, undertake environmental monitoring, audit, deliver training and mentoring. Supporting continuous improvement to environmental performance.,
* Degree qualified in relevant discipline
* Construction / Civil Infrastructure experience (Essential)
* PIEMA (Essential)
* Chartered Environmentalist (Desirable)
* Previous experience working with regulators (Desirable)
* Ecology experience (Desirable)
