We are looking for a Full-Time Technical Assistant on a 6-month Fixed Term basis.

We work in a professional way towards our shared goals, knowing the work we do makes a genuine, lasting difference on the environment. As a Technical Assistant for Chemistry’s National Monitoring Team, your role will include:
* Supporting the delivery of our Bathing Waters project, through water quality sampling.
* The provision of sampling of rivers, lochs, and environmental discharges across Scotland.
This is a highly important role within our Chemistry portfolio. The post has been created to allow our Technical Assistant to deliver critical water quality sampling which means you’ll need:
* Experience in collecting environmental samples.
* An understanding of the health and safety requirements of field work.
* To be comfortable with lone working in remote areas.
