Accounts Assistant - Liskeard - £23-25,000
Trial Balance are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by a highly successful engineering business who urgently seek to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their long standing but growing finance function! This is a full time, permanent opportunity and the company promotes flexible working hours to include an early Friday finish.
This will be an interesting and broad role where the successful candidate will join a team of eight reporting to and working closely with an experienced Finance Director and Accounts Manager. Key areas of responsibility include:
1. Use Sage 50 to support the production of management accounts
2. Calculating prepayments and accruals
3. Preparing and entering journals
4. Administering company credit card transactions
5. Month end reconciliations
6. Assisting payroll team during absences with timesheet administration and MS Excel entries
For this role, we seek an Accounts Assistant with at least 12-18 months of recently gained experience in a busy finance function. Candidates may be part/fully AAT qualified or qualified by experience. An understanding of the construction industry scheme would be highly desirable. The role works as part of a friendly, lively, and energetic team that regularly liaises with other departments in the business as well as customers and suppliers, so great teamwork and communication skills will be essential!
