HSCNI - Band 8a PMO Manager

VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting a PMO Manager for a large HSCNI organisation. Our client oversees Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Recruitment, Human Resources (HR), Pay, Travel and Subsistence Management for HSCNI. This is an excellent opportunity for a PMO Manager to play a key role in an extremely important project for HSC, at this point in the organisation's transformation.
Project:
Replacement of critical business systems to support and enable the modernisation of Finance, Procurement and HR technologies.
Remuneration:
BAND 8a HSCNI pay grade, plus holiday pay, pension. Hybrid working. Opportunity to work on genuinely meaningful projects improving HSC.
Responsibilities:
1. Providing a structured and focused approach to the management of a large-scale programme and delivery of its benefits.
2. Leading on the integration, coordination, and governance.
3. Providing objective challenge, support, and expertise in the pursuit of increased value through programme and project delivery.
4. Championing benchmarked/best practice focusing on improvement and efficiency.
5. Leading on the design of Project Management information systems, in order that colleagues are able to capture, manage and report information efficiently and effectively.
6. Overseeing the development and management of the systems.
7. Setting projects up with clear plans for benefit delivery and supporting in the delivery and monitoring of delivery and benefits.
8. Driving the engagement of Transformation colleagues to capture and maintain relevant and quality information on the programme & project management information system.
9. Designing and implementing systems to enable the PMO to accurately report (routinely and ad-hoc) from the information system to service both the upward-reporting and data quality agendas.
10. Supporting and championing the use of programme & project management resources.
The Ideal Person:
1. A university degree or professional qualification and at least 3 years' experience in a project management role within a major organisation.
2. Experience of leading ICT supported projects with a budget of over £50,000.
3. Previous experience utilising a project methodology (e.g. PRINCE 2, or similar methodology).
4. Holding an ITIL foundation certificate.
