As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Welder/Production Operative to join our ACO Building Drainage team in Bedford.
If you are a skilled fabricator with TIG welding experience we would like to hear from you.
This is a full time role working mainly with stainless steel, in the production team. The key part of this role will be TIG Welding. You will also assist in other manufacturing processes as required and training can be provided.
This role requires a reliable, self-disciplined person who is able to achieve the targets set to meet customer demands on time and in full. You must be conversant with workshop health and safety practices and adhere to these at all times.
Working hours are 39 hours per week, 7am - 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am -12 noon on Fridays.
About the role
In this role you will complete daily checks, ensuring all equipment is properly set up, no defects, missing parts, etc. and the correct PPE is worn. You will work with various materials including stainless steel and aluminium and varying thickness from 0.9mm to 5.0mm ensuring all jobs are completed in a timely manner whilst adhering to health and safety requirements.
You will ensure a clean and tidy work area is maintained and produce products to the expected standard and achieve quality checks.
About you
To be successful in this role you ideally have :
* Fabrication and TIG welding skill (essential).
* Ability to work as part of a team or individually using initiative.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to read drawings.
* Happy to work in an welding bay in a production environment.
