Kitchen Assistant – Welwyn Grange
Salary: £12.00 per hour
Hours: Full Time - 40 hours per week (includes alternate weekends)

Welwyn Grange is a brand new care home opening soon, set within the heart of the community in Welwyn Garden City. We will be bringing a fresher approach to residential, nursing and support.
We are recruiting an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to assist our chefs with the food preparation for our residents.
As a natural team player, you are happy to get involved, work with our committed catering team to achieve a positive contribution to our residents lives, but above all you are keen to develop in a role and gain experience in all aspects of a fully working kitchen environment.
You will have excellent communication skills and be happy to interact and show empathy towards our residents.
Working as part of a friendly team you will;
* help the chefs with basic food preparation
* receive and unload deliveries
* wash -up and keep our kitchen clean to a very high standard.
* Plating up resident lunches.
You will also get an opportunity to learn about the IDDSI food preparation requirements for special diets, and this role could be a first step into a catering career for someone willing to learn.
