An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Area Sales Manager, within a long established and highly respected manufacturing company based in Rotherham. The role will be covering the Midlands with candidates ideally based in this region. Please be aware that a significant amount of travel is to be expected in order to fulfil the role which will include to our Rotherham sites and London Showroom. About the role In the position of Area Sales Manager, you will manage the day-today activities within a specified geographical area for the UK Power Distribution sales team and ensure growth targets are delivered. This will involve sales and account management; specification sales activity; project management; client visits and so forth. The individual will be a high performer within Power Distribution sales with a proven track record and an understanding of consultants; electrical contractors; and the wholesale distribution channels. About the responsibilities As an Area Sales Manager, the key tasks include: Influencing and increasing specifications of electrical products/solutions for projects within Category A and B fit out Identifying new large-scale project opportunities Product presentations to M&E consultants/clients Developing new potential routes to market Specifying electrical solutions and act as a Power Distribution expert Adding value on a project-by-project basis Analysing a client, and develop strategies to increase sales within that account Building sales within a specified territory/region Demonstrating the ability to talk at all levels within an account, from Director to Office Manager Working positively within a team sales environment Sharing project information to ensure the company have the greatest overall chance of winning the project Taking direction from senior team members or management regarding sales activities Proactively managing accounts without input Gaining success in meetings and overachieving individual and group-based sales targets Understanding the importance of accurate forecasting of ordered Collaborating with the Sales Director, National Sales Manager Power Distribution and the wider sales team to secure all stages of the project.
