Your Impact As General Manager, you will: Drive operational excellence to ensure the hotel consistently delivers outstanding financial, operational, and guest satisfaction results. Act as the brand ambassador, ensuring the property aligns with Holiday Inn Express's renowned global standards. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and leadership of a high-performing team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Create a culture of learning and development, building engagement and growth across all team members. Lead commercial and operational strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share in a competitive environment. Oversee guest feedback and ensure the hotel achieves and maintains high satisfaction scores. Ensure compliance with legal, brand, and health and safety standards, always prioritizing the well-being of guests and staff. Build strong relationships with local stakeholders and businesses, promoting the hotel within the Barrow-in-Furness community. Collaborate with the wider RBH team to share best practices, implement company initiatives, and stay ahead of industry trends. About You You'll be a seasoned hospitality professional with: Proven experience as a General Manager or Deputy General Manager preferably within a branded or limited-service hotel. A strong commercial mindset and a track record of driving revenue and managing budgets effectively. Expertise in hotel operations, including rooms and F&B offerings. Exceptional leadership and communication skills to inspire and develop a diverse team. A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and consistently exceeding expectations. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective partnerships with the community. Flexibility, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Familiarity with IHG systems and processes is highly desirable.
