Interim Buyer / Purchaser - Havant - £30,000 - £35,000
Do you have at least 2 years' experience within manufacturing procurement?
We are recruiting for a Buyer to cover maternity leave for a global manufacturing organisation based in Havant. This is an office-based role and will be on a 6 month contract. If you have some previous experience in procurement, ideally in manufacturing, this interim buyer role would be ideal for you and gives you a chance to work for a global, multi-site company.
Responsibilities
The role of Interim Buyer will be varied but will have the following responsibilities:
1. Evaluating MRP demand
2. Raise and issue purchase orders
3. Communicate between production, planning, and procurement teams regarding material shortages.
4. Actively communicate with suppliers to request order confirmations and update the MRP system.
5. Manage and resolve supplier non-conformances.
6. Produce daily reports via our in-house reporting system.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Interim Buyer, you will ideally have the following:
1. At least 2 years experience within purchasing or a similar procurement role within manufacturing
2. Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office such as Excel
3. Organised and a good communicator
Package
The successful candidate for the role of Interim Buyer will receive the following:
1. Salary circa £30,000 - £35,000
2. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
3. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm
