Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Vocational Tutor to join our clients team in Worcester. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality vocational training across a range of accredited Employability qualifications, Vocational Skills, Functional Skills (Maths and English), and Essential Digital Skills.
This role involves supporting adult learners (aged 19+) to overcome barriers, achieve their qualifications, and progress towards positive destinations such as employment, further education, or apprenticeships. You will collaborate with local employers and partners to help learners build skills aligned to local labour market needs.
The position is based at their Coventry office, with staff parking available on-site, and may include occasional travel within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters confidence and encourages participation.
* Identify and address individual learner needs, delivering tailored support to help them achieve their goals.
* Motivate and inspire learners, maintaining high engagement levels and promoting their development with empathy and care.
* Build supportive relationships with learners to help them progress effectively through their journey.
Training and Delivery
* Conduct initial and diagnostic assessments to develop customised learning plans.
* Deliver high-quality, engaging training across Entry 1 to Level 2, adapting teaching strategies to suit a variety of learning styles and abilities.
* Use innovative methods and resources, including technology, to create interactive and impactful sessions.
* Regularly monitor and assess learner progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure success.
Quality and Compliance
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed to meet compliance and quality standards.
* Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of training programs, implementing feedback to optimise delivery.
* Participate in team meetings, internal quality assurance (IQA) activities, and standardisation processes to ensure excellence across provision.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., CTLLS, PTLLS, AET, PGCE).
* Proven experience delivering engaging vocational training and Functional Skills.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
Desirable
* Knowledge of local labour markets, sector skills gaps, and regional employment opportunities.
* Experience meeting challenging Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets
