Blackstone Credit & Insurance (“BXCI”)– Insurance Sales, Associate Business Unit: Blackstone Credit & Insurance (“BXCI”) Job Title: Principal Job Description: Blackstone is seeking an experienced insurance product specialist to serve as an internal and external subject matter expert for our European insurance clients, supporting business development, relationship management and operational matters. In partnership with the EMEA Head, Insurance Strategy and Solution, this individual will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategies to effectively market, sell and service Blackstone’s private credit and alternative investment funds to insurance companies throughout Europe. This individual will collaborate closely with Blackstone’s investor relations and business development team, providing them with expert insights and technical knowledge to support their efforts in delivering tailored solutions to our insurance clients. Specific functions will include: Provide deep technical expertise on European insurance regulations and their implications for Blackstone’s products, including capital charges, risk aggregation and reporting requirements. Prepare analyses and content on market trends and regulatory considerations related to the Europe insurance market, including the impact of Solvency II on asset allocation. Support Blackstone’s product development and structuring effort to enhance existing offerings and identify new product opportunities tailored to the Europe insurance market. Qualifications: Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have: 5 years of experience Asset Management, with a significant focus on alternative investments and private credit, and serving the Europe insurance market Strong understanding of European insurance investment needs, risk appetite and regulatory environment; experience working directly with insurance clients in Europe, understanding their challenges and preferences Excellent working knowledge of Solvency II regulations and their implications, with a preference for hands-on experience with Solvency II reporting requirements, risk aggregation, capital charges and compliance considerations specific to private credit and alternative investments in the Europe insurance market; SST and Solvency II equivalency for key markets a plus.
