Level 1 Nursery Teaching Assistant

Whitecote Primary School is looking for a great Level 1 Teaching Assistant to work with our nursery school children. This will involve personal care such as changing nappies. The nature of the Teaching Assistant role may mean you are asked to work with other age groups within the school.
We want someone who enjoys working with all our children, including those with SEND needs; someone who is a great communicator and who can make a positive contribution to a team. We seek someone who is flexible, can use their initiative, and problem solve. Someone who sees every day as an opportunity to learn something new and wants to develop themselves within the role to become an outstanding practitioner.
Core working hours will be Monday to Friday 8.40am to 3.05pm, totaling 29 hours and 35 minutes. This is a temporary, term-time only position until 18th July 2025, with a term-time only percentage of 83.81%.
In addition to your core working hours, you will also be required to work an extra 30 minutes per week for planning and preparation, and an extra 30 minutes per week for learning journey time. You will also be required to work an extra hour every half term for twilight training. You will be paid overtime for any additional hours you work.
