The Business and Executive Support team are looking for an experienced full time administrator to provide support within their Children & Families Team based in Stafford, primarily working in the Statutory Checks area. Statutory checks are information sharing requests that as a Local Authority we have a responsibility to act and respond to in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. Our team manages the requests, supported by the Access to Personal Information Officers in processing the more complex checks which includes receiving referrals, checking relevant systems, actioning the request and responding to the requestor. Main Responsibilities As part of your role, you will provide support by maintaining records, undertaking system checks, processing financial transactions and providing a frontline service for all queries for the service area. Other duties include filing, photocopying, postal duties, word processing, preparing and distributing paperwork and liaising with customers, schools and partner agencies. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for you to have, Good communication skills to engage our customers and Administration teams to share best practise using digital solutions where appropriate to improve processes. An ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment and to manage changes at short notice, with a flexible approach. Strong IT skills with a knowledge of Staffordshire County Council systems or similar packages for data management. Good administrative organisational skills.
