We are absolutely thrilled to be working alongside our Award Winning Facades / Building Envelopes Manufacturing client as we look to recruit for a Regional Facades Specifications Manager to join their UK wide team, covering all North West based clients. Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds.
This role is a business critical role and we are looking to get you started in your new role ASAP.
Your New Role
The primary function of this role is to support the sales strategy of focusing on interacting with Architects Specifiers, Distributors, Developers and Main Contractors, and Subcontractors to the benefit of both businesses. You are the face of the business for these channels, supplying a professional, responsive and positive service to customers, putting out Customers First at all times.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. As a Regional Facades Specification Manager (RFSM), you will be responsible for the management of Architects Specifiers, Distributors, Developers and Main Contractors, and Subcontractors within your nominated region; including seeking and developing new opportunities for system solutions to ensure growth in all relevant applications.
2. To create demand via specification and transactional opportunities for our product portfolio to ensure growth in all relevant applications.
3. Become a trusted advisor within each targeted customer channel representing the Group.
4. Manage and grow sales with an agreed target list of customers.
5. Create and maintain a project pipeline providing future sales for the geographical area within market sectors outlined in the sales strategy and to provide a forecast to the Group.
Your Qualifications
1. Relevant Previous Experience within a similar position and construction sector (essential).
2. Professional Technical Qualification to support the role (desired).
Knowledge and Skills
1. Implement a key account sales plan in your area to meet the requirements, overall targets and expectations of the company's sales strategy.
2. Manage time effectively in the field by spending at least 4 working days in front of customers, and to ensure that all customer types have the correct level of engagement.
3. Develop and maintain in depth knowledge of market and sectors, especially relating to market trends, opportunities, threats, and competitors' activities; and providing appropriate communication and direction to internal departments.
4. Gain an understanding of your customers' wants and needs and support them to deliver growth for both businesses.
5. Develop close relationships with customers continually adding value to such relationships, thereby ensuring continued customer loyalty (solution sales and pull demand).
6. Display a creative approach to support distributors to market our brands more effectively.
7. Provide solutions for identified end users and monitor the build programme with the aim to convert to a secured project.
8. Fully utilising the CRM system and ensuring all relevant data is up to date daily.
9. Work closely and collaborate with Customer Services, Marketing, Technical Services and Technical Services to co-ordinate and drive activities; and maximise effective closure of opportunities you have created.
10. Develop and maintain thorough product, systems, and application knowledge.
11. Complete and submit sales reports and associated administrative tasks accurately and on time to enable the efficient and effective running of the sales process.
12. Forecast accruals on a monthly basis, and this is a business-critical part of your administration.
13. Maintain a detailed and up to date target customer portfolio and opportunity pipeline.
14. Prospect new leads via actively utilising ABI Barbour and other market intelligence.
15. Encourage and support promotional events to increase business opportunities.
16. Deliver training presentations to user groups when required and agree to implement follow-up activities that will lead to winning opportunities.
17. Attend events and exhibitions when required to represent the brands and seek new prospecting business.
