The Job
1. Lead, coach and develop team members to maximise performance.
2. Ensure team members understand expectations and execute daily tasks efficiently.
3. Agree targets and help determine how the team will measure success.
4. Drive the achievement of business objectives and targets.
5. Share best practice and encourage a consistent approach to sales calls.
6. Identify learning needs, implement training and coach ongoing skills development.
7. Foster collaborative working and problem solving across the sales and business development teams.
8. Develop close working relationships with the Estimating and Operational teams.
9. Facilitate weekly and monthly team meetings, communicating key messages from senior management.
10. Conduct monthly 121 meetings, identifying strengths and development areas.
11. Promote a positive approach and motivate team members by celebrating success.
12. Obtain, analyse and utilise data from the CRM to manage performance of the team.
13. Cover team members during holidays/absence, undertaking sales and administration duties.
14. Act as the main point of contact for escalated customer queries and issues.
What You'll Need
1. Experience leading a telephone-based sales team.
2. Background working in construction, property or technical industries would be beneficial.
3. Skilled in coaching, mentoring and motivating salespeople.
4. Ability to inspire trust and respect.
5. Solid understanding of sales performance metrics.
6. Strong communication and relationship building skills.
7. Exceptional customer service and negotiating skills.
8. Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office - particularly Excel.
