Role Responsibility We are currently looking for a full time, permanent, National Transfer Scheme (NTS) Senior Administration Officer to join our busy and fast-paced team. The role of Senior Administration Officer includes the line-management of a small team. We are looking for applicants who are able to demonstrate experience and proven skills in people management. Ensuring unaccompanied asylum-seeking children transfer from the care of Kent County Council to the care of other local authorities under the National Transfer Scheme (NTS) in a safe and timely way is a critical function of the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children’s Service (UAS). You will assist the Service’s NTS Manager to ensure the smooth running of the NTS in Kent, taking a proactive role in its day-to-day functioning. At the Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children’s Service for KCC Integrated Children’s Services, we receive and respond to all requests for support at an intensive level or above, ensuring that these are passed on to the most appropriate service for ongoing support and intervention. We are looking for someone who possesses excellent IT and problem-solving skills and is confident in dealing with professionals and members of the public on the telephone. This is a challenging, varied and exciting role that requires multi-tasking and a good eye for detail whilst working under pressure in a fast-paced office environment. Within this role, you will deal with highly sensitive and confidential information and must demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality and information security.
