We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated EDI, Wellbeing and Culture Trainer to join our dynamic team.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) is a fantastic place to work. Our Service is one of the busiest fire and rescue services in the UK, serving a population of nearly 2 million people. We employ around 1,700 people, 85 of these are Firefighters, the remaining 15 is made up by support staff.

As an EDI, Wellbeing and Culture Trainer, you will play a vital role in designing, delivering, and evaluating training sessions that enhance the professional growth of our colleagues at various levels within the organisation. You will collaborate with different departments to identify training needs, design training programmes, and deliver engaging and interactive sessions. You will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of respect, understanding and acceptance within our Service and beyond.
This is a relatively new role within our EDI, Wellbeing and Culture Team and sits right at the heart of the HIWFRS People and Organisational Development Directorate. The primary objective of the team is to champion EDI and wellbeing values and to promote a positive organisational culture which is underpinned by fairness, respect, and equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background, identity or characteristics. We collaborate with various departments and stakeholders within and outside our Service to identify areas of improvement and to develop and implement policies, practices and initiatives that eliminate discrimination, bias, and barriers to inclusion at all levels.
