Looking for a role where you are responsible for the briefing, development, sourcing and Buying of the Regatta Professional Corporate range?

If so, we have an opportunity for a Junior Category Manager to join our Regatta Professional Product team!
The Impact you will have in this role is:
1. Research undertaken of workwear and promotional markets across UK and Europe, with in depth understanding gained of the key Professional customers/distributors.
2. Fabric development and sourcing for Professional ranges worked on with Brand Manager with prompt, clear and accurate fabric briefs sent to the Asia team. Fabric performance standards, testing requirements and guidelines set ahead of development.
3. The design and development team provided with a clear definition of range requirements, price points, fabrics/fabric performance, fit and construction requirements.
4. Up to date product range documentation and systems, with product and colours set up on PLM, informing cross functional teams on updates.
5. Close working relationship with the Professional Sales team / Professional MD, data understood and used from sales and stock reports whilst reviewing current and building new ranges, with decisions made on the price points and margin analysis.
6. Designs engineered and products developed to a specific price point including ways to bring commercial innovation to a slot.
7. Trips to Asia undertaken, carrying out face to face price negotiations with target margin achieved on all products.
8. Supplier strategy and capabilities/capacities understood. Solid supplier relationships built, and factory visits taken when necessary.
As our future Junior Category Manager, you will have:
1. An understanding of competitors and market leaders ranges/price points and keep up to date with their latest trends, developments, and ranges updates.
2. Knowledge of building a specification for appropriate product area. Checking SMS and bulk specs to ensure samples and production are correct to the original brief.
3. Understanding fabric performance, and testing standards and ability to questions results if necessary.
4. Experience of developing and buying a range to target margin to meet company turnover through increased sales, (min 1-2 years).
5. Experience in a fast-paced retail buying office.
6. Strong delivery / service orientation.
7. Attention to detail.
8. In depth understanding of the Professional sales price list and market key price points.
9. A degree or equivalent in Buying/Merchandising would be advantageous.
