The Role
As a Senior Transport Planner, you will be responsible for project managing multiple Healthy Streets projects focused on localised road safety, bus priority, walking, cycling, traffic reduction, and public realm improvement. You will work closely with partners at TFL, Network Rail, HS2, and others to deliver neighbourhood-based Healthy Streets projects across the Euston-King's Cross corridor and provide transport input on strategic transport planning initiatives in the Euston Station Masterplan area.
Key Responsibilities
* Project manage multiple Healthy Streets projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
* Develop complex, area-wide, low-traffic Safe & Healthy Streets projects in Euston and King's Cross.
* Provide transport input on strategic transport planning initiatives in the Euston Station Masterplan area.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues from planning, regeneration, and sustainability departments to ensure that neighbourhood-based Healthy Streets projects support and contribute to wider urban planning and sustainability initiatives.
* Support the Principal Transport Planner in providing input into the application process for new stations and associated adjacent and over-station development in the Euston Station Masterplan area.
Requirements
* A degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience in transport planning.
* Knowledge of the policy and statutory framework locally, regionally, and nationally within which the Euston Masterplan, Healthy Streets, transport planning, and related activities operate.
* Skill and experience in project management, including delivering Healthy Streets transport infrastructure projects on time and to budget.
* Experience and understanding of healthy streets and strategic transport planning projects, including working in a team on projects of significant size, value, and complexity.
* Good partnership working skills and the ability to develop effective stakeholder relations on transport matters.
* Capacity to communicate clearly and sensitively as part of community engagement activities and with elected members.
