The school specialise in students at Key Stage 3 and 4 but must be at least 13 years of age. Many students have been diagnosed SEND/SEMH (or are awaiting diagnosis), and/or have been excluded from at least one mainstream school. The School are looking for experienced and passionate SEN Teachers to join their alternative education community Key duties: Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical and social needs of the students within a learning environment. Monitor, assess, review and report on the progress and work of students to parents, team members, senior staff, examination and funding bodies through reports and identified meetings as directed and as is required through school policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge through training and research where appropriate and take responsibility for own professional development. Develop lesson plans analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes. Contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews. About you: Core Teaching Qualifications: Teaching Qualification in (QTS/QTLS) or be willing to work towards it.Specialist Teaching Qualification (Desirable) Academic Background: Degree in a Relevant Teaching Subject, equivalent for SEN (desirable) Special Education and SEN Expertise: SENCO Advanced Certificate (Desirable), Patoss AAA Course Completion (Desirable) Teaching Subjects: English, Maths, and Science Proficiency, a minimum of grade 4/C or higher Directions This school is based in Northampton, near local motorway route has public transport links close by.
