SEN Teaching Assistant (Long-term) Havering £100-£110 per day PAYE February 2025 The School and Role This Secondary School, part of a Multi-Academy Trust based in Havering are seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with behavioural and Special Educational needs including ASC and ADHD. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working with students with varying mental health needs as well as additional learning needs. You will be supporting students in the classroom, as well as in the specialist provision ‘The Station’. In this provision there is specialist equipment to teach students with SEN the life-skills they will need to prepare them for later life. The provision also provides the students with a nurturing and calming environment for them to thrive in. SEN Teaching Assistants at this school must be prepared to support students not just in the classroom, but outside as well – using the facilities to teach cooking skills, travel skills and social skills. Seeking SEN Teaching Assistants with resilience, confidence and a warm personality who can provide expert guidance to students with SEMH needs and SEN. Requirements The desired SEN Teaching Assistant will have; Experience working with students with SEN. Relevant childcare training or equivalent qualifications. Dedication to ensuring students of all abilities receive access to quality education. A passion for supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable students.
