An opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Quality & Assurance Lead to join our team within the Quality and Nursing Directorate, supporting the delivery of the Health and Social Care (Quality & Engagement) (Wales) Act, Duty of Quality, Duty of Candour, and Citizens Voice across Wales.
The successful candidate will work to the Head of Quality Assurance to ensure that Quality Assurance is integrated and considered across the Trust aligned to the Health & Social Care (Quality & Engagement) (Wales) Act 2020, Duty of Quality, Duty of Candour, and Citizens Voice.
The post holder will work in partnership with all teams & departments to provide advice, guidance, and information to raise awareness of Quality Assurance and to promote the development of a quality culture at all levels within the organisation.
The successful candidate must be a good team player, be able to manage their own workload, and work to tight deadlines successfully.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
* Provide assurance on compliance with required standards and assess targets across area of responsibility. To take ownership of identified issues and proactively undertake remedial improvement action.
* Contribute to the development of an effective Quality Management System to ensure services are subject to strong quality governance and able to adopt continuous quality improvement.
* Influence current working practices and procedures to promote a culture of high quality and assurance. Ensure that good practice is rapidly shared within the service area and wider organisation where appropriate.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Working to the Head of Quality Assurance, the post holder will work in partnership with all teams & departments to support the co-ordination and management of the quality agenda, meeting the Trust's organisational ambitions and legislative requirements.
Build quality, quality assurance capability, and capacity aligned to the All Wales Health & Care Standards and Health & Social Care (Quality & Engagement) (Wales) Bill.
Working both autonomously and as part of the Trust quality function, the post holder will be required to act independently, exercising significant discretion in respect of their area of responsibility.

Qualifications
* Educated to Degree level in a professionally related subject.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
* Experience of working with quality management systems in a quality-oriented environment, organisation, and business context.
* Experience and knowledge in the use of advanced MS Office suite.
* Ability to undertake data collection, collation, and inputting into complex spreadsheets and documents.
* Quality Assurance qualification.
* Advanced knowledge and understanding of information systems.
Experience
* Extensive knowledge and experience in quality and quality assurance in the healthcare arena.
* Understanding UK legislation relating to Quality Standards.
* Experience of working in the NHS.
* Experience of developing quality assurance systems.
* Multi-agency working / working across organisational boundaries.
* Experience in change management.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively and cooperatively.
* Good planning and organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Effective leadership, influencing skills, and demonstrate professional credibility.
