Teaching Personnel are seeking an English Teacher for a small specialist secondary school who cater for pupils with moderate learning needs, physical, sensory and language challenges and who may be on the Autism Spectrum.
Curriculum: English to GCSE level
Start Date: ASAP (subject to vetting)
Requirements: UK QTS and SEND/SEMH experience
As part of this role, you will provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational needs. The pupils require a personalised curriculum to meet their learning needs, so the ability to create individualised lessons is essential. You will create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, helping students to overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Requirements:
English Teaching experience
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working with children with varied SEN.
Ability to teach a broad range of abilities, and tailor learning to individual needs and abilities.
A solid understanding of differentiated learning experiences and behaviour management.
A commitment to ongoing professional development in special education.
Role and Responsibilities:
Planning and teaching a curriculum that meets the needs of individual students up to Key Stage 4.
Always maintain safeguarding procedures and protocols.
Implementing positive behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s values and procedures.
Creating a positive, nurturing environment that motivates, engages, and inspires students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
