About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pricing analyst or trainee pricing analyst to join our growing Animal Health Pricing Team. The team is responsible for delivering cutting edge Radar live capability and technical models to support the market leading brand PetPlan as well as our growing LV pet proposition. Our team is at the heart of achieving the company’s strategy and it is an exciting time for you to join and shape the future of our business. We have a number of pricing, portfolio and underwriting vacancies as we look to expand both our business and technical capability.

You’ll be at the sharp end of our business, delivering analytical models that are used to drive commercial decisions, solve challenging problems, and deliver enhancements to our products and pricing techniques.
A great advantage of being a member of the Animal Health Pricing team is the extensive training provided. The UK team has collaborated with the worldwide Allianz Group, to deliver an accreditation scheme designed to train you in all aspects of pricing. From data science modelling in cutting edge software to automating optimisation calculation routines honed across global markets.
As a valued member of the team you will:
* Build sophisticated pricing tools to predict the impact of pricing decisions before they are deployed to market;
* Play a pivotal role in the delivery and enhancement of our WTW Radar Live capability;
* Be responsible for deploying rating enhancements to market in a timely and precise manner;
* Undertake statistical analysis to understand our claims performance and risk exposure;
* Conduct GLM analysis in Emblem to improve the accuracy of our technical pricing;
* Support initiatives to maintain our “Excellent” Technical Price Certification;
* Share and promote knowledge, skills and best working practices within the team;
* Be fully supported in your development and wider career ambitions
Skills and Experience:
This is a great role for someone looking to further develop their data and analytics skills to drive and improve business outcomes. To be successful in this role you will have the following;
* Strong problem solving skills, logically working through scenarios and thinking multiple steps ahead to understand potential impacts
* Experience of using data analytics tools for example SAS, Python, R, SQL, Excel, VBA and WTW Radar an advantage
* Experience of using machine learning an advantage
* Strong analytical and data interpretation skills when working with large volumes of complex data
* Ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
* Business acumen as well as an understanding of the insurance sector - pet insurance knowledge desirable but not essential
* You will be qualified to degree level and have a high degree of numerical ability.
