We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and solution focussed professional to oversee the premises and resourcing of Hatch End High School. The facilities officer would ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of school facilities, leading the premises team. Working closely with the Finance and Operations Manager, the Facilities Officer will manage the school’s physical environment, ensuring all spaces are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The role is key in providing a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment conducive to learning. This is an exciting opportunity to strategically develop the Hatch End site. Prior experience of running an educational premises team would be an advantage but is not required.
You will be responsible for managing the Smartlog system and reporting to Senior Leaders and governors, therefore good ICT and administrative skills are required.
The successful applicant will:
* be organised, personable and efficient;
* have experience of working in a school or premises management;
* be able to problem solve and good at logistical planning;
* be able to perform general repairs and maintenance as needed, including but not limited to plumbing, painting, carpentry, lighting, and to undertake the direct repair of fabric, services and fittings as appropriate to the role;
* have a good understanding of financial planning, health and safety, risk and compliance.
