A fantastic opportunity is available to join our busy Logistics Team, to become part of an iconic Cornish business, and to make your mark as Supply Chain Manager.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (Some weekends where necessary)
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Help manage all raw materials, packaging, finished goods and merchandise while it is on site.
2. Assist in regular stock rotation and efficient material utilisation to reduce waste.
3. Place orders for production materials within supplier lead-times to avoid delays in production due to shortage in inventory.
4. Plan inbound deliveries to meet production requirements, obtaining confirmation from Suppliers of delivery dates to reduce the risk of failed deliveries.
5. Complete regular stock-taking and inventory checks to a high level of accuracy.
6. Coordinate and develop production plans with the Company’s management team.
7. Create efficient scheduling processes or methods to help meet production goals, as well as allowing adequate time for hygiene works to be completed.
8. Generate accurate production reports that will be utilised by the business for decision making – plan vs. actual, cost of inventory, at risk products, supplier performance, customer service.
9. Create purchase orders for new orders, as well as carrying out ADHOC administrative tasks as required.
10. Manage CHEP movements and audit accuracy.
11. Coordinate with external customers around returns of empty kegs to complete the proposed production plan.
12. Any other activity/task as and when requested by the Directors.
Experience
1. Buying/Planning Supply Chain experience (especially Food and Drink/FMCG manufacturing)
2. Warehouse and forklift experience
3. Experience in working in a fast-paced environment with significant seasonal demand
Skills
1. Excellent communication skills
2. Possessing good interpersonal skills
3. Strong organisational abilities
4. Intermediate level of excel spreadsheets and MRP/ERP operations
5. Capable of working within large amounts of data
Qualifications
1. Forklift licence (Desirable)
2. CIPS Level 4 or above (Desirable)
