The role will lead the management of a portfolio of plans and projects with the Head of Primary care and PCN development. Significant experience in managing a portfolio of competing projects and priorities is essential. Work effectively with a variety of managers and clinicians in other organisationsrepresenting the ICB at local and regional meetings and improvement programmes pertaining to primary care including integrated neighbourhood teams/representatives working on modernising general practice, Primary Care strategy, transformation initiatives/offers. Establishing & maintaining sound communication and information sharing among ICB and co-ordination of aggregated information for a series of information requests & returns required by NHS England and/or ICB committees, preventing replication and ensuring comprehensive and consistent programme reporting both within and out of the ICB/ICS. Link with ICB lead managers and members of primary care teams to support & deliver at scale where possible assurance of project progress & achievement through shared knowledge, information sharing & deployment of project specific activity. Address inter-dependencies and ensure alignment of work programmes and priorities is evident at ICB & ICS level. The successful candidate will be appointed to NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin ICB. They will be based in Wellington, Telford. They will, however, be required to work across the whole of the beautiful and extensive rural area covered by Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin ICS, and therefore must have the ability to meet the travel needs of the post. The post holder will: Be responsible for supporting the development of, and leading on, key programmes of work pertaining to the ICB Primary Care Strategy and transformation of Primary Care. Be a strong advocate for quality improvement for the ICB footprint overseeing the implementation of the programme of projects in primary care and realising the ambitious timescales that have been set nationally and locally. Provide specialist knowledge and take the lead and build work programme(s) and projects that retain existing staff groups in general practice and make STW a preferred place of employment. Manage the Primary Care work programme. Champion new roles and ongoing support offers available to primary care networks ensuring co-designed offers address support, professional and developmental needs in liaison with other experts and higher education organisations. Develop and maintain strong and positive working relationships with Primary Care Teams at place, Primary Care Networks and all relevant staff groups and ongoing management of relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and quality improvement. Be responsible for the financial transaction approval of team members in support of the Head of Primary Care. Manage the Primary Care Partnership Managers.
