A fantastic opportunity has arisen due to company growth, to join a team of Loss Assessors where you will be the main point of contact for the client throughout every stage of their claim until completion. This will be a split of working in the office (on average 2 days) and on the road meeting with various parties in connection to the claim ( on average 3 days ). Your responsibilities will include;
1. Managing an ongoing caseload of up to 30 claims with a value raging from £15k to £250k
2. Arranging for emergency work to be carried out, sorting temporary accommodation and arranging for interim payments to the client
3. Updating the client on a regular basis, by telephone, email and face to face meetings
4. Arranging and attending meetings with external bodies such as forensics, surveyors, restoration firms in order to progress the claim
5. Negotiating settlement claims on behalf of the client.
6. Ensuring that payments from the claim are distributed correctly to the relevant parties in line with FCA regulations
Full training will be provided for this role. After completion of training, you will get a company car, phone and tablet. Commission can also be earned on top of the competitive basic salary. Whilst it is rare, there will be occasions where there will be early and late appointments, so flexibility with hours is essential ( not a standard 9-5 role!) You will need to have previous experience managing a caseload – which can come from a variety of sectors including Legal, Property, Insurance, Claims etc. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to prioritise your own workload.
