Business Development Associate Position Overview: Identifies and nurtures strategic relationships with PFT’s partners and potential customers. Assists in the development of a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct and indirect customer contact and prospecting. Works with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives. Increase revenue from PFT’s Insulating Sheathing products, sold to new construction through new and current channels of distribution, by creating a network of influential builder and new construction customers who see PFT as a primary partner for optimizing their siding and insulation business. Salary: Starting base pay $75,000 - $90,000 profit sharing and additional bonus potential Essential Functions: Commitment to company core values (Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Service, Interdependence, Listening, Accountability) Follow a plan and sales process to establish a loyal network of new construction customers and facilitate their supply chains. Research and analyze current and future business opportunities to prioritize opportunities for new sales and partnership. Refine our value proposition to successfully satisfy the target markets. Cycle calling in identified geographic areas. Physical presence in identified areas at least once quarterly. Represent PFT at Builder and New Construction related events. Including the preparation for events, attending, and working related events and activities. Track, develop and manage leads. Acquire commitment from targeted customers and coordinate excellently with our Territory Sales Team. Travel with the territory sales team, as needed, to help them successfully establish new customer relationships. Interface with sales team on lead development. Ensure successful transfer of account responsibilities once the customer relationship is established. Represent PFT in assigned organizations (ex. Home Builder Associations). Including participating in related events and activities. Assists with the development of key accounts as needed. Work with sales and corporate management to develop and refine PFT’s long-term and short-term Builder Strategies, Goals, Plans, and Expectations Requirements: Comfortable with overnight travel at least 75% of the year. High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales. Preferably in the construction industry. Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing key strategic accounts and relationships. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close. Proven ability to articulate aspects of products and services, positioning them against competitors. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills. Demonstrated acumen with construction best practices, installation, and building codes. Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop an enthusiastic and competent sales and marketing staff. Must have strong collaboration skills and demonstrate willingness to be a team player while performing job responsibilities.
