This is an exciting period for the Data team as we are revamping our work processes and significantly expanding our Business Analysis capabilities to ensure stakeholder needs are thoroughly understood and addressed in every delivery.nAs a Data Business Analyst, you’ll be responsible for capturing, analysing, and documenting business requirements, ensuring their high-quality delivery throughout various project phases. Reporting to the Data Business Analyst Lead, you’ll collaborate closely with business teams to understand current and future business and data processes, products, and operations. This understanding will enable you to clearly articulate and document requirements for the data architecture, development, and testing teams.What will I be doing?nElicit requirements through interviews, process reviews, data analysis, workshops, and site visits.nTranslate customer or stakeholder business needs into data requirements.nPrioritise work based on business impact, effort, and dependencies, driving backlog delivery and maintaining clear stakeholder communication.nCollaborate with internal and external customers to analyse needs and deliver artifacts like Business Requirements Documents, Epics, User Stories, Process Flows, and Mockup designs.nAct as the liaison between stakeholders and the Data delivery team, ensuring requirement traceability through design, development, and testing phases.nEnsure the data product meets business needs by working closely with stakeholders, applying a multi-disciplinary skill set, and addressing issues promptly to keep the program on track.nWhat do I need?nExperience: Strong and demonstrable experience in a Business Analyst role, with expertise in process and data requirements capture and analysis. Familiarity with data analysis tools like SQL or Python, Databricks exposure is a plus.nTechnical Knowledge: Understanding of data domains such as data governance, architecture, modelling, engineering, delivery, quality, and master data. Familiar with software development life cycle and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).nCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of interacting professionally with diverse stakeholders, including executives and subject matter experts. Strong interpersonal and influencing capabilities.nAnalytical Skills: Highly attentive to detail with a structured problem-solving approach. Able to facilitate workshops, lead discussions, and gain consensus on decisions.nIndustry Knowledge: Experience in the Insurance Industry and knowledge of regulatory bodies like the Financial Conduct Authority. Robust understanding of GDPR and its implications on data management.nPersonal Attributes: Analytical thinker with a confident communication style, committed to continual improvement. Pragmatic, adaptable, and results-oriented with high standards and a strong eye for detail.
