Position: Group Planning & Inventory Manager
Reports to: Engineering & Performance Director
Role Overview: The Group Planning & Inventory Manager will work closely with Commercial, Planning, Operations Management, Procurement, Business Systems and Engineering in developing and managing the Group SIOP process, group stocking policy, intercompany process and optimization of the planning function. Analysis and identification of trends and utilise SIOP forecasting. Optimisation of MRP master data to improve system, optimize stocking, reduce costs and lead times and provide optimised customer fulfilment.
Key Accountabilities:
* Sales, Inventory and Operational Planning process owner.
* Develop, create and maintain Master Production schedules for all business entities.
* Estimate future project and production needs of labour٫ equipment and raw materials.
* Analyse production data and inventory levels to identify trends, forecast future needs and implement improvements.
* Support in the implementation and introduction of new product introduction process support.
* Utilise business ERP systems to identify and manage factory bottlenecks and possible future constraints.
* Lead Time Management projects and initiatives.
* Effective use of the ERP system to proactively manage the order book and over-dues to minimise customer impact.
* Develop and own the stocking policy process across the business.
* Manage the use of the ERP system to control planning master data, user views, reporting and data integrity.
* Ensuring OTDIF performance is maintained and improved in line with Company targets.
* Drive standardisation of planning and inventory fundamentals, reporting and analytical tools as required to ensure minimal working outside of the ERP system.
* Liaising with key internal stakeholders including operations, inventory, supply chain, procurement and commercial teams to maximise cross-functional communications and workflows.
* Management of inventory control process across all sites and business entities.
* Monthly reporting to Senior Leadership Team
Associated Responsibilities:
* Adherence to Company Health & Safety, Quality and Compliance policies and procedures.
* Review and monitor work schedules and capacity planning systems to identify possible constraints.
* Maintaining inventory stock level in line with lead times.
* Other projects as defined appropriate including CRH based projects and initiatives.
Experience and Training:
* Previous experience in leading intercompany processes.
* In depth experience within a Planning and/or Supply Chain role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Proven ERP systems management experience.
* High Level Experience in use of ERP systems.
* Experience in Use of Key Data Analysis tools and software – Power BI.
* Ability to lead ERP driven strategic planning, results-based management and reporting.
* Proven knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
* SQL database experience is desirable.
* High level IT skills including proficiency in full MS Office suite, Advanced Excel an understanding of, and ability to utilise, digital communications tools such as email and intranets.
* Knowledge of Value Stream Mapping or Process Mapping.
Essential Criteria:
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Candidate must have previous experience in inventory management, planning, or supply chain management, with a focus on group or multi location management.
* Excellent MS Office suite proficiency.
* Excellent project and change management capabilities.
* Exceptional interpersonal management and communication skills.
* Ability to manage complexity, collaborate, ensure accountability and be resourceful.
* Ability to be innovative demonstrate problem-solving skills, be able to quickly identify potential solutions while considering possible impacts to other individuals and/or systems.
* Ability and willingness to be flexible and to travel between company locations, as required.
