Transformation Programme Manager

The post holder will lead and deliver strategic improvement initiatives within the trust to help achieve the trust's objectives - to enhance patient care and experience, improve operational efficiency, and financial sustainability. This role is crucial in supporting the Trust's transformation agenda, working collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
In partnership with Senior Responsible Officers (SROs) and Project Leads, the Transformation Programme Manager will guide and support the delivery of key improvement projects across business areas. This includes managing essential governance activities such as milestone planning, risk and issue tracking, and change control to ensure structured, high-quality project execution.
Main duties of the job
Working with clinical and divisional teams, the Transformation Programme Manager will help identify, plan, and implement service improvements aligned with the Trust's goals. The role requires strong analytical skills to assess and prioritize complex information, supporting large-scale, cross-functional change in alignment with Trust performance metrics.
The post holder will need to demonstrate strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work autonomously. They will also play a proactive role in the promotion of service improvement, programme and project management methods. This will take the form of coaching, help, advice and guidance or be of a specific nature in the form of facilitated workshops.
This role will require line management as agreed with the Head of Transformation & Improvement.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Education to Master's degree level and/or equivalent level of experience in working at a senior level/manager in a healthcare setting
2. Prince2 Accreditation in Foundation and Practitioner
3. Proficiency in the use of tools to assist in the project management process
4. Evidence of continued professional and educational development
Desirable
5. Qualification or accreditation in other project management training
6. Diploma in Management or equivalent
Experience
Essential
7. Working in a health or social care setting
8. Working in a multi professional and agency environment
9. Experience of managing and delivering programmes of significant scale
10. Change/transformational management
11. Track record of delivering transformation using improvement techniques, within a given timescale, demonstrating tangible and sustained improvement which meets the aims and objectives of the project
12. Communicating at all levels within organisations, to develop collaborative approaches to service development of pathways and processes which deliver improved outcomes.
13. Performance management framework in either maintaining or producing management information or development of a range of performance management information.
14. Ability to produce and present reports for senior leadership teams, executives and Trust board
15. Ability to distinguish between projects and business as usual
16. Managing teams including appraisal and HR processes
