Job Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide direct leadership to co-leaders and indirect leadership to associates assigned within the area of responsibility.
2. Evaluate associate training needs, ensuring competence and cross training where applicable.
3. Provide necessary tools, equipment, including personal protective equipment and resources to associates.
4. Problem solving and countermeasure development.
5. Monitor and measure accuracy of processes and equipment.
6. Provide new associates with thorough department orientation.
7. Conduct coaching and counseling for inappropriate behavior and attendance.
8. Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
9. Ensure safe operations.
10. Ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.
11. Administer performance reviews.
12. All other duties as assigned.
Must have a good understanding of manufacturing fundamentals and JIT principles, high manual dexterity and good visual acuity to work with parts.
