The job:
Reporting to the Distribution Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring both inwards and outwards goods areas are handled efficiently and focused on meeting the needs of internal and external customers at all times. You will play a key role in inventory control so your accuracy picking, packing, dispatching orders and cycle counting will be second to none with the use of a double deep reach truck. Included in this is the devanning of containers, which requires an F endorsed Forklift licence and a full clean driver’s licence.
We are looking for someone with experience in a warehouse environment, particularly the efficient and effective management of inwards and outwards goods. You will have a high level of initiative and the ability to communicate well across all levels of the organization, as well as good computer skills. Customer service will be important to you, so you will have a strong attention to detail and enjoy delivering on-time, every time to your customer, along with the ability to work relatively unsupervised. Ideally you will also hold up to date AP accreditation.
As Health and Safety is paramount in this industry you will be up to speed with practices and be able to demonstrate this in your work habits. This knowledge will help you to promote the company image in a professional manner as well as provide first class customer service.
