Main Duties & Responsibilities: You will carry out Repairs to all types of industrial equipment including AC and DC motors, Motorised Gearboxes, Gearbox's, Pumps, Fan units, Generators and other associated rotating equipment. Size of component can vary significantly from one job to the next could be a fractional horse powered fan unit, 5-ton DC mill motor or large vertical pump. Ability to fault find and identify and rectify defects and worn / damaged components. Advantageous to have basic electrical testing capability to assess electrical condition of AC & DC components. Mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and rectify faulty and worn / damaged components. You will be flexible and be prepared to work the hours required in a demanding and busy 24 / 7 service orientated environment Participate in call out rota as required Site working experience and CCNSG passport is advantageous not essential, can be certified to do so Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications: Any prior experience with DC motors and pumps in a maintenance capacity highly desirable Any electrical DC repair work advantageous Engineering background, NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC City and Guilds or equivalent Time served also applicable Need to have practical skillset as well as academic understanding Able to meet physical demands of the role Understanding of repairing rotating equipment even without direct prior experience Manual machining/lathing experience advantageous Understanding engineering technical drawings INDAB ADZN1_UKTJ
