Women’s Media and Editorial Lead Join us as the Women’s Media and Editorial Lead, where you will be at the forefront of media management and content creation for Birmingham City Women. As a key contact for external press inquiries, you'll leverage your media expertise to tell compelling stories, collaborate across departments, and build strong relationships with players and staff. Attendance at all Women’s fixtures is essential. This role requires flexibility to suit the Women’s football schedule. Key Responsibilities: Lead the media strategy and content output for Birmingham City Women. Develop a comprehensive content plan in collaboration with the Social Media Executive. Increase the visibility of lifestyle and cultural content that reflects player personalities. Manage all external media requests and facilitate player interviews. Ensure a seamless media operation on matchdays, home and away. Plan and execute press conferences and manage press communications. Write engaging web articles covering features, match reports, and player news. Oversee the production of a 32-page matchday programme. Collaborate with marketing and videography teams to align content initiatives. Enhance the visibility of the Women’s Academy. Adhere to Football Association and English Football League media regulations. Protect the Club’s brand and ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines. Commitment to a career in media. Excellent written English skills and attention to detail. Strong understanding of social media strategies and content formats. Ability to generate fresh, engaging content daily. Desirable skills Degree in Media, Journalism, or relevant experience. Knowledge of relevant software tools.
