Commodity Buyer
Location: Banbury
Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience.

We are looking to recruit a Commodity Buyer, with the main purpose to meet company goals, not only for cost and quality but also innovation and delivery.
Working with a leading automotive supplier, the main duties of the role will include:
* Supplier selection and strategy, meeting all business and project requirements.
* Identifying a variety of business goals for cost improvement and striving to continuously achieve those goals.
* Setting supplier performance targets and communicating these in a clear and concise manner.
Responsibilities of the Commodity Buyer:
* Support the engineering change management of the supplied materials and components.
* Participate in continuous improvement processes, including supplier quality, cost, and innovation.
* Manage all SAP related functions relevant to both supplier and commodity.
* Maintain the purchasing database, budgets, spends, and suppliers.
* Raise quality care points, liaising with other departments regarding any quality concerns.
* Participate in training and development programmes, sharing your knowledge with the wider teams.
What we are looking for in the Commodity Buyer:
* A good communicator, who is both organised and methodical.
* A tenacious and results-driven person with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Previous experience in purchasing, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Experience and understanding of APQP, PPAP, TS-16949, cost tracking, and quotation analysis.
* Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
